Rogers Cup Montreal like never before!
AS THE OFFICIAL TITLE SPONSOR OF ROGERS CUP IN MTL, ROGERS AIMED TO PUT VISITORS AT THE CENTRE OF UNIQUE EXPERIENCES AND TECHNOLOGIES BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE ROGERS CUP EVENT.
Milos Raonic was invited to play a key role in producing an immersive and innovative interactive video experience that would invite customers to play a virtual tennis game. In an immersive environment, users played a point against a virtual tennis match with Milos. After the experience, the video footage of them playing was integrated in a humorous short video. Videos could be shared instantly on fans’ Facebook pages and shared on social media.
Prior to the Rogers Cup event, Rogers also launched a website platform called TennisRogersMTL. The concept was to invite several bloggers to create interesting content around the tennis theme: sports, technology, style, neighborhood & the Rogers Cup. To generate more traffic, a daily onsite contest was organized and the visitors could win pairs of tickets to assist a tennis game at the Rogers Cup.
Lastly, during the first edition of the Mural Festival, Rogers created a one of a kind 4-story tennis themed mural on one of Montreal’s busiest street corners. It was a great opportunity for Rogers to connect with a younger and urban audience, democratize tennis by bringing it on the street and create a social media buzz prior to the Rogers Cups event. Approximately 800,000 people walked in front of the Rogers mural during the festival.
